Measure at home in 2 minutes
You need a strip of paper (or a string or shoelace), a pen and a ruler.
With a ring that fits (most accurate)
- Lay a ring you wear on that finger on the ruler and measure the inside diameter, edge to edge, in millimetres.
- Find that diameter in the table below.

- Wrap the strip around the base of your finger: it must still slide over the knuckle.
- Mark where it overlaps, lay it flat and measure it in millimetres: that is the circumference. Find it in the table below.
Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are slightly larger.

How to wear it
At 10 mm, this is a wide band that covers a good part of the finger, so it looks strong on a man's hand. Wide bands fit tighter than thin rings: order one size above your usual size, and the larger one if you are between two. Sizes run from US 8 to US 13.

The cross pattée has arms that are narrow at the center and flare out toward the ends. In the Middle Ages it was worn by several military orders founded during the Crusades, and the Knights Templar are the best known of them.
