“If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can move mountains.”

Matthew 17:20

The mustard seed is the smallest of seeds. Jesus chose it to say that even a little faith is enough to move mountains. This bracelet holds a real one, so that promise stays with you: on the hard days, before a big step, or for someone you want to encourage.

  • A real mustard seed, set in a clear frame
  • Hand-braided navy cord and silver-tone steel, adjustable from 14 to 26 cm (5.5 to 10.2 in)

How to wear it

The open cuff has a 14 cm inner perimeter, a 4 mm band and a 19 mm cross outlined at one end, so the cross sits on top of the wrist. Slide it on sideways through the opening, then press gently to close or widen it for your wrist. At 11.9 g it is light and minimal, easy to wear next to a watch or alone.

The stainless steel does not rust, so it can stay on in the shower, at the gym or at the beach. Silver suits light tones, black a darker wardrobe. It works for a man or a woman, at Christmas or every day.

Questions

Will The Open Cross cuff fit a man's larger wrist?

In most cases. The inner perimeter is 14 cm plus the opening, and you can gently widen the cuff once for a larger wrist, then leave it in that shape.

How do I put it on?

Turn your wrist sideways and slide the narrow side of the wrist through the opening, then rotate the cuff so the cross sits on top.

Where does the 19 mm cross outline sit on The Open Cross?

At one end of the open cuff, so it rests on top of the wrist. It is drawn as an outline in the same 4 mm band.

Can I adjust it often?

Adjust it once to your wrist and then leave it: bending any metal back and forth many times weakens it.

Is the black Open Cross cuff a good gift for a teenage boy?

Yes. It is clean and minimal, slides on without a clasp and has nothing flashy, so it is easy for a teenager to wear every day.

Can The Open Cross cuff be worn next to a watch?

Yes. The 4 mm band and 11.9 g weight sit easily beside a watch; leave a little space between them, since metal rubbing on metal can scuff both.

The Open Cross

Its meaning

A cross drawn with a single line

The first Christians rarely showed the cross in their art. On tombs and in the catacombs of Rome they drew a fish, an anchor or a shepherd carrying a lamb, signs a believer could read and an outsider might pass by. The cross became a common public image only from the fourth century, once the faith could be practiced openly. Since then it has been drawn in every way, from jeweled to bare. This open cuff keeps only the outline of the cross, a hollow shape in polished steel, silver or black, and slides onto...

Giving it as a gift

A good Christmas present for a brother, a colleague or a friend whose wrist size you do not know, since the cuff opens to fit. Choose silver for someone who wears light tones, black for someone who dresses darker.
