Size guide
Find your ring size
Measure at home in 2 minutes
You need a strip of paper (or a string or shoelace), a pen and a ruler.
With a ring that fits (most accurate)
- Lay a ring you wear on that finger on the ruler and measure the inside diameter, edge to edge, in millimetres.
- Find that diameter in the table below.
With a strip of paper
- Wrap the strip around the base of your finger: it must still slide over the knuckle.
- Mark where it overlaps, lay it flat and measure it in millimetres: that is the circumference. Find it in the table below.
Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are slightly larger.
No ruler? A bank card is 8.6 cm (3.4") long: count how many fit along your strip.

How to wear it
At 10 mm wide and 6 g, this woven band covers a good part of the finger and has a real presence. Wide bands fit tighter than thin ones, so order one size above your usual, and the larger size if you are between two. Sizes run from US 7 to US 12.
The gold-tone stainless steel can stay on in the shower and at the gym. Wear it alone, on the ring finger or the middle finger; it suits a man or a woman. Many people start wearing it on Ash Wednesday, through Lent, or receive it as an Easter gift.
Questions
What is woven into the band?
Two motifs side by side: the crown of thorns and the olive branch, worked around the whole 10 mm band.
What size should I order?
One size above your usual, because a 10 mm band fits tighter. Sizes go from US 7 (about 54.4 mm around) to US 12 (about 67.2 mm).
What is under the gold finish of The Reverent Weave?
Stainless steel. The 10 mm crown of thorns band is gold-plated steel, sturdy enough for daily wear, and weighs 6 g.
Do the thorns feel sharp?
No. The thorns are part of the woven relief, and the finish is smooth, so it is comfortable all day.
Is it a good Easter gift?
Yes. It is often given at Easter or worn through Lent, as a sign of the Passion and of the peace that follows.
Is it a ring for men or women?
Both. At 10 mm wide it looks strong, but many women wear wide gold-tone bands too.

Its meaning
Thorns of the Passion, the olive of peace
The Gospels tell how Roman soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and pressed it on Jesus' head, mocking him as king of the Jews. The olive branch comes from older pages: after the flood, the dove returns to Noah with an olive leaf, the first sign that the waters are going down. It is also on the Mount of Olives that Jesus prayed on the night before he died. Side by side on a ring, the two motifs set suffering next to peace. This one weaves both around a 10 mm band in gold-tone stainless...
Giving it as a gift
A meaningful Easter gift, or something to begin wearing at the start of Lent. It is also right for someone in a hard season who wants a quiet sign of hope on the hand.
