Saint Jude Thaddeus, apostle of hope
Saint Jude Thaddeus was one of the twelve apostles, and the Letter of Jude in the New Testament is traditionally attributed to him. He is shown in a green mantle with a staff and the image of Christ on his chest. Through the centuries the faithful have turned to him in causes that seem without hope.
