The rosary is a prayer counted on beads: the Our Father on the larger beads, the Hail Mary on the smaller ones, while the one praying thinks about moments in the life of Jesus and Mary. Dominican preachers spread the devotion widely from the late Middle Ages, and it remains one of the most common Catholic prayers.
