The meaning
The symbol · Cross
Seven signs of the Mass on one cross
Each sign on this cross points to the Eucharist. The chalice and the host recall the Last Supper, where Jesus took bread and wine. Wheat and grapes are what that bread and wine are made from. The dove is the Holy Spirit, called down on the gifts at Mass. Alpha and Omega, the first and last letters of the Greek alphabet, echo Revelation 22:13, where Christ calls himself the beginning and the end. The Chi Rho joins the first two Greek letters of the name Christ. Polished stainless steel, on a box chain with a lobster clasp.
Giving it as a gift
Made for a first communion: a godparent can give it on the day, or a grandparent at the celebration afterward. It also suits a confirmation, or an Easter gift for someone who never misses Mass.
The prayer
O Sacrament most holy, O Sacrament divine, all praise and all thanksgiving be every moment thine.
Traditional prayer to the Blessed Sacrament

The meaning
Alfa e Omega
