How to measure

Thorns of the Passion, the olive of peace
The Gospels tell how Roman soldiers twisted a crown of thorns and pressed it on Jesus' head, mocking him as king of the Jews. The olive branch comes from older pages: after the flood, the dove returns to Noah with an olive leaf, the first sign that the waters are going down. It is also on the Mount of Olives that Jesus prayed on the night before he died. Side by side on a ring, the two motifs set suffering next to peace. This one weaves both around a 10 mm band in gold-tone stainless steel, US sizes 7 to 12.
