Zmierz w domu w 2 minuty
- Spójrz w lustro: najniższy punkt sznurka to miejsce, w którym będzie leżał łańcuszek.
- Za wysoko lub za nisko? Spróbuj o 5 cm więcej lub mniej: to jeden rozmiar w górę lub w dół.
Masz już łańcuszek, który Ci się podoba? Połóż go płasko z zapiętym zapięciem i zmierz od końca do końca. Przy szerokiej szyi lub klatce piersiowej każda długość układa się nieco wyżej.
Nie masz linijki? Karta płatnicza ma 8,6 cm długości: policz, ile razy mieści się na pasku.

Questions
Is the 25 x 16 mm Miraculous Pendant small enough for a first communicant?
Yes. It is a small, light medal (the whole necklace weighs 5.7 g) that suits a child and can be worn for life. Young children should wear necklaces under supervision.
Where does the Miraculous Pendant sit at 45 and at 50 cm?
At 45 cm (about 18 in) it rests just below the collarbone. With the 5 cm extender it drops to 50 cm, on the upper chest.
How durable is the gold PVD finish on the Miraculous Pendant?
Durable for daily wear: PVD is a gold-colored coating bonded to the stainless steel. Perfume, chlorine and scratching are still what wear it over time, so put it on after them.
Who designed the Miraculous Medal?
The design comes from the visions of Saint Catherine Labouré, a Daughter of Charity, in Paris in 1830; the first medals were struck in 1832.
What do the rays from Mary's hands on the Miraculous Medal mean?
Graces. Saint Catherine Labouré described them as the graces Mary obtains for those who ask her, which is why she is shown with open hands.
Is it a good baptism gift?
Yes, as a keepsake for the child to wear when older, since necklaces are not recommended for babies. Many families give it at baptism for exactly that reason.
The prayer
O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee.

Its meaning
The two faces of Mary's medal
The Miraculous Medal has two faces. On the front, Mary stands on a globe with rays falling from her open hands, which Saint Catherine Labouré understood as the graces given to those who ask for them. On the back of the traditional medal, the letter M is topped by a cross, with two hearts below: the Sacred Heart of Jesus crowned with thorns and the Immaculate Heart of Mary pierced by a sword. Twelve stars circle the whole. This small pendant, 25 by 16 mm, shows Mary with open arms in polished silver or gold...
Giving it as a gift
Mothers and godmothers often give it at baptism, so the child grows up with it. It also suits a first communion, a confirmation or Mother's Day.
