How to wear it

A small sideways cross sits on a fine gold-tone chain dotted with enamel beads, closing with a lobster clasp and an extender chain for an easy fit. It is light on the wrist and made for stacking: next to a watch, a bangle or a couple of other colored bracelets. Pick one color to match a uniform or team, or two to mix.

The stainless steel does not rust, so it can stay on for the shower, school sports or the beach. It suits a confirmation, Christmas or an everyday cross for a teenager.

Questions

What does the sideways cross on The Devout Path stand for?

Many Christians read it as the finished work of Christ on the cross. It is a modern way of wearing the sign rather than an ancient one, but its meaning stays that of the cross.

Does it come in silver?

No. The chain and the cross come only in a gold-tone finish; you choose the color of the beads.

Why is the cross sideways?

So it lies flat along the chain and stays in place on the wrist. It is the same Christian cross, set horizontally.

Can it fit a teenager's wrist?

Yes. The lobster clasp and extender chain let you adjust the fit, so it suits a slim wrist as well as an adult one.

Can I wear it every day, even for sports?

Yes. It is stainless steel, which does not rust or turn your skin green, and it is light enough to forget during the day.

Is it a good confirmation gift for a teenage girl?

Yes. She can pick her favorite color or her school color, which makes it a cheerful sign of faith she will actually wear.

The Devout Path

Its meaning

The cross in a brighter key

The cross recalls Good Friday, but Christians also celebrate it. On Easter morning, some churches cover a bare wooden cross with fresh flowers, turning the sign of death into a sign of joy. A sign of faith does not have to be solemn. This bracelet pairs a small sideways cross with a fine chain dotted with enamel beads, in a polished gold-tone finish with a lobster clasp. You choose the bead color: black, blue, gray, orange, pink, red or white.

Giving it as a gift

Let her pick her color, or match it to a school or a team. It makes a cheerful confirmation gift for a teenager and an easy Christmas present for a friend who loves color.
