The cross, sign of the faith
The cross is the central sign of the Christian faith. It recalls the death of Christ and, through it, his resurrection on the third day. Christians have traced it on themselves and worn it since the early centuries as a daily profession of belief, and Saint Paul wrote that he would boast of nothing but the cross of Christ (Galatians 6:14).
