A heart engraved with a cross and a verse from Scripture. The Sacred Heart, made personal.
The meaning
The symbol · Cross
Psalm 118:6, carried close
Psalm 118 closes the Hallel, the group of psalms of praise sung at Passover, and many readers link it to the hymn Jesus and his disciples sang after the Last Supper. Its sixth verse is short and direct: the Lord is on my side, so there is nothing to fear. The Letter to the Hebrews quotes it again for Christians under pressure. Many people turn to it in seasons of illness, grief or fear. This heart-shaped pendant is engraved with a small cross and the words of Psalm 118:6, and hangs on a fine link chain.
Giving it as a gift
For a friend going through grief or a long illness, when words are hard to find. It also suits a mother on Mother's Day, or anyone who wants a short verse close at hand every day.
The prayer
The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
Psalm 118:6, King James Version
