The armor of God in Saint Paul
In his letter to the Ephesians, Saint Paul describes the Christian as a soldier dressed in the armor of God: truth as a belt, righteousness as a breastplate, the shield of faith, and the sword of the Spirit, which he names as the word of God. He wrote it as an image of spiritual courage, not of war. Some see in a strong, upright cross the same idea of standing firm. The lines of this pendant can be read as a sword with a small shield at its center. It measures 30 by 60 mm, in polished stainless steel.
