The Miraculous Medal shows Mary with open hands and rays of grace falling from them, as she appeared to Saint Catherine Labouré in Paris in 1830. According to Saint Catherine, Mary said that those who wear it with confidence would receive great graces. It is one of the most widely worn Marian medals.
