How to choose a men's cross ring

• Band or signet. A band with an engraved cross stays discreet; a signet with a raised medal or cross is a statement.
• The symbol. The Templar and Crusader crosses recall the history of the knights, the cross of Lorraine is recognisable by its double bar, and Saint Christopher is the patron of travellers.
• The size. Measure a ring you already wear or use the size guide on each piece; many men wear a US 9 to 12.
